The EDQM, Council of Europe, is responsible for co-ordinating work programmes on public health issues in Europe. It develops quality standards for medicines and their safe use, and guidance and standards in the areas of blood transfusion, organ transplantation and consumer health issues. This film gives an overview of its different activities and explains how it works to protect consumers throughout Europe.

There are 10 to 12 million Roma and Travellers in Europe spread across practically all the Council of Europe's member countries. The organisation's main objective is to encourage its members to take a comprehensive approach to Roma issues, and to improve the lives of all Roma people, wherever they live.
