EDQM anniversary
This video, produced by the European Directorate for Quality of Medicines and Healthcare (EDQM), celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Convention on the Elaboration of a European Pharmacopoeia. Dr Susanne Keitel, Director of the EDQM, reflects on the successes of the Convention, signed by 37 member states and the EU, and the progress the European Pharmacopoeia Commission has made over the past half-century. She also discusses future challenges and goals for the Commission and the EDQM in the effort to protect public health in Europe.

To mark Human Rights Day on December 10 the Council of Europe has produced a TV spot highlighting the work of the Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT). The spot, which includes some images provided by Amnesty, is currently available in English and Russian, with other linguistic versions planned for the near future.
