A short film about the poor living conditions of Roma people in four different European cities. 10 million Roma live in Europe and many face similar problems to those depicted in the film.

Intercultural Cities introduces a new model of local governance and policy in the age of diversity: the model of intercultural integration. Neukölln, a multicultural district in Berlin, faces the huge challenge of intercultural integration. Other cities co-operating with the programme include Reggio Emilia, Oslo, Neuchâtel, Lyon and Lublin.

Council of Europe Human Rights Commissioner Thomas Hammarberg is interviewed in this 8 minute report looking at the legacy of the Russian human rights campaigner Andrei Sakharov, who died in 1989. Also featured are Jerzy Buzek, the President of the European Parliament, and representatives from leading human rights groups in Russia. There is also a Russian language version of this film.
