Russian writer and political commentator Victor Erofeev was in Strasbourg recently to give a lecture on “Russian and European Souls – can they walk together?”. He examined the cultural and political ties between Europe and Russia, in the context of the country’s other identity as part of Asia, and asked the question “what should be done to strengthen the European future of Russia?

The French global TV channel TV5 Monde has made a mini-documentary on the European Court of Human Rights. The 14 minute film takes a behind-the-scenes look at the workings of the Court, as seen through the eyes of senior lawyers and judges including the Belgian judge Françoise Tulkens.
