The Roma settlement of Kamenci in the Slovenian region of Prekmurje launched an innovative project supported by the Council of Europe called the European Route of Roma Culture and Heritage. The aim is to improve the integration of Roma people into mainstream society by encouraging better knowledge of their culture and heritage.

The Internet is one of the greatest liberating forces of our age, making information and global communication accessible to anyone. Freedom, confidence and trust to use the Internet is a key aim of the Council of Europe.

The Free To Be you film was recently launched at the Sarajevo Film Festival. The Council of Europe’s new film on freedom of expression is being shown at the start of all screenings at the festival.
